The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurological Surgery, is hiring a Post Doctoral Associate.

Functioning independently this position will be responsible for establishing the technological and scientific framework for testing the efficacy of spinal cord stimulation to treat spasticity and improve motor control in children with Cerebral Palsy. Specifically: 1) Lead the team towards timely execution of the experimental milestones of the project 2) Collaborate with graduate students and coordinate the team to produce scientific publications 3) Identifying computer modeling strategies to understand the mechanisms of SCS in Cerebral Palsy. Finally, you will be expected to seek independent funding that will foster your career and support the development of the spinal cord stimulation system. In addition to these specific tasks, you will join meetings occurring at RNEL including lab meetings, progress reports and journal clubs to foster the sharing of scientific knowledge with your peers and colleagues.

Minimum education to be considered for this position is PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
