Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage in Illinois with predictable weekend call volume and strong CVU support on site. This is inpatient adult coverage with a defined pager response expectation and a manageable census.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient adult cardiothoracic surgery coverage
• Evaluate referrals from Cardiology
• Responsibilities include emergent cases, rounding on existing patients, and post surgical management

Schedule

• Coverage is 1-2 weekends per month
• Weekend shift runs Friday 10am to Monday 5am
• Pager call with 30 minute response time

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery
• Illinois license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, Open to IMLC Physicians
• Required certifications include BLS, CSR, DEA
