The Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health is seeking an enthusiastic M.D. / D.O. candidate to join the growing Sleep Medicine Program that is dedicated to the care of pediatric patients. Our current team includes 1 pediatric sleep physician, sleep psychology, clinical support staff, and pediatric trained sleep techs.
The nominee will have clinical responsibility for pediatric patients in outpatient sleep medicine clinic, as well as interpreting sleep studies in an 8-bed hospital-based sleep lab, and will have an active role teaching students, residents, and fellows. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
This full-time position is ideal for a clinician-educator or clinician-scientist interested in the care of pediatric patients with sleep disorders, including but not exclusive of sleep disordered breathing, hypersomnia syndromes, circadian rhythm disorders, insomnia, and parasomnia. The nominee will have opportunities to provide care to patients of various clinical complexities while collaborating with the pulmonary team, ENT, craniofacial surgery, PICU, NICU, and other subspecialties.
